My Question or Issue
I have a problem with Spotify app on my Android TV with Android 8. UI completely freezes after random amount of time. It usualy happens during first three songs in any playlist. Music continues to play but the UI does not respond to my remote control. When I turn on Spotify app on my cell phone with Android 10, I can control playback via Spotify connect. I can switch songs on my phone and when I do it, it starts to play on the TV correctly but the UI keeps frozen. The only way how to recover from this state is to switch off the TV for a few minutes or kill the app via TV's app manager and start it again.

I have figured out that the reported issue happens when I start to play a playlist and I stay in the playlist view where the current song's progress bar is visible. When I start to play the playlist and then I return to the app's homepage, it won't freeze. Instead the app works for a few hours but it seems that my TV slowly becomes unresponsive and does not react to my remote control at all. The only way how to recover is unplug the TV from electricity. The same issue was described in different topic https://community.spotify.com/t5/Android/Android-Other-Spotify-freezes-Sony-android-tv/td-p/4800134
Same happening with Sony KD49XF9005. It's quite old and major issue.
This was happening even when using Android 7 long time ago. Now also with Android 8.
Same issue here, for a while now already.
