My Question or Issue
I am unable to play any songs on my android phone, everytime I try to play a song, it's stuck on 0:00 which makes me unable to listen to music. I tried restarting the app, reinstalling the app and restarting my phone but it's still the same. It's also the same whether I'm connected to a bluetooth device or not. It's still stuck on 0:00, songs are still unable to play. Will appreciate your help!
Hey @Fuu2,
Help’s here!
It's a good idea to perform a clean reinstall of Spotify on your Android phone to make sure you get rid of any corrupted data that could be causing this issue.
In case this persists after the clean reinstall, make sure no battery optimization settings or data cleaning apps run active on your mobile device. Such features can often prevent the app from operating at full capacity. We also suggest accessing the app settings and making sure all Permissions are enabled for Spotify.
Keep us posted! We'll be happy to lend a hand if you need more help.
Hey @Fuu2,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Next thing you can try is logging in to your Spotify account on another device. This will help us see if the issue might be related to your Spotify account or the device you're using. If this doesn't occur on a different device, we'd suggest making sure that your original device is up to speed with any software updates available.
If you still see the same happening on a different device, try how it goes with a different Spotify account on your original device. You can ask a friend or family member to log in or you can create a test account for this purpose. If it works with another account, you can follow the steps in this Spotify Answer next.
Keep us posted! We'll be here if you have any questions.
Make sure it's not a rooted device and VPN is completely off .if it's rooted spotify will not work on non official phones
Have you tried soft reboot on your device?
Hey @Fuu2,
Thanks for keeping in touch.
For what you mentioned, it looks like the issue is indeed related to your device.
You can try what @Blingblaow mentioned above and try soft rebooting your phone.
If that doesn't do the trick, could you try using a different connection, like mobile data or another WiFi network, and let us know if this makes any difference?
Keep us posted. We'll be on the lookout.
