Unable to log in because I'm "offline"

My Question or Issue

Twice in the past week I've been randomly logged out of Spotify (the issue may be related to changing SIM cards while travelling, but I can't confirm).

After trying to log in again I've got an error stating that I can't log in because I'm offline, with the only options being to reset my password. Even after resetting the password I was unable to log in.

My only option was to uninstall and reinstall the spotify app, which meant losing about 10gb of music I had to redownload both times. This problem has been present and acknowledged by Spotify for 2 years and there's still no fix - as far as I'm concerned completely deleting the app and reinstalling is not an actual solution.

Frustrating enough if I'd deliberately logged out while in offline mode, but the fact that I had been automatically logged out for no apparent reason is even worse.
