Hello.. i've looked all over the web and tried everything but yet it doesn't seem to work.
Description
I'll try to give as much info as possible
I'm trying to transfer my local music files to my spotify so ill be able to listen to music that isn't on spotify from spotify.
What are the steps you took to get to the error/issue?
Open spotify on PC and choose a destination for my local music files
Files are added to Local Files
I make a new playlist and copy them to there from local files
I open spotify on my phone (just extra info - after 10sec I have the auto turnoff screen my phone has I didnt change it)
Spotify on PC shows my phone in devices
Now the problem appears... it shows my phone in devices but when it start syncing(picture: http://1.ii.gl/E5uaxMlT.png ) my device keeps disappearing and reappearing in the devices list, therefore it does nothing? 😕 I gave it alot of time and still nothing happens.
So basically, yes, it shows the device but when I opend and let it start syncing my phone under devices keeps refreshing like its there and not there all the time. (like it shows this http://2.ii.gl/HyNvkkAR.png and then http://2.ii.gl/VC9OJJFA.png like theres no device)
Here are some pictures of what it shows in my phone (also it shows like its downloading 29 tracks while I dont have 29 tracks in my local files
What I expected to happen?
files transfer to phone and i can listen to them from my phone anywhere...

I tried, and it didn't work, also I have 20 songs in local files and it says downloading 29 and it doesnt even start download just like you can see in the pictures...
I'm really desperate 😕
UP
Sooo... ever gonna get help?
Try this slightly differently. In spotify, click on your phone and uncheck everything. Then launch spotify on your mobile, go to the oprions screen and remove the cache.
You'll then need to log back in and, once you've done that, open a playlist and tap the available offline switch at the top. The tracks should now download.
It's also worth checking the following android settings in wifi/advanced:
keep wifi on during sleep > always
auto-switch network > off
no that didnt help aswell.. anything else plz
Could you describe what happened?
My phone appeared in devices but kept disappearing and reappearing from there... I didnt touch my phone when I was in spotify only change to offline mode the songs that I put in my local files. (in a new playlist)
and still it didnt work... phone kept refreshing in the device tab and didnt transfer anything 😕
losing hope
You checked these settings were as I suggested?
Could you also check that your router has UpNP enabled and temorariy disable all firewalls, antivirus and other security software on your PC. Does this help?
Yes I've chekced those settings in my phone and they were fine, I also dont have my firewall of my router on and universal plug n play is on ofcourse.. still sad 😞
Could there possibly be a fault with the phone's wifi radio? Can you stream spotify music over wifi without any issues?
If streaming works then the issue is either with your PC or router. Try turning off your router, PC and mobile then power them back on in the same order but don't power your mobile on until the PC has finished booting and spotify is running.
There's no problem with the phone it's a brand new galaxy s5 eh
im trying to check if its really my router, maybe it's because im on a hidden wifi? that I had to add manually? my device appears in spotify so I guess thats not the problem because it reads it...
Can you tell me whats the process that is hapenning when you put a local file?
Is it uploading it to spotify servers and then download it to my phone or what?
No, the files go over wifi connection from PC via router to mobile. You could also try cutting out the router completely by setting up an ad hoc wireless network on your PC. Then connect both the PC and mobile to this network and try synching again.
