So I purchased a better plan in order to be able to stream my music, but for some reason once my data is used up the songs are always buffering. And it takes forever to connect to internet.
What is your definition of music unlimited?

Sounds like your mobile provider limits your connection speed to 3G after you have used up your data plan. Either upgrade your plan, change the streaming quality to normal or automatic or download music over wifi and listen offline.
