Unlink Last.fm from Spotify

I linked my Last.fm account to my Spotify and decided to delete my Last.fm account because I don't make use of it that much. After deleting it, I tried to unlink it from my Spotify/deactivating it through the app's settings. Every now and then, it would prompt me, saying that the username and password is wrong even if I've deactivates it. Please help me with this. It's beginning to be irritatating and bothersome.
