Weekly Mix, Release Radar and other playlist not updating automatically when connected to WiFi. I have to open the Spotify app, then the download starts, but without opening Spotify app, the playlist are not automatically update in background.

Thanks for posting here in the Community.

Currently there is no option to update the content or to download different songs and podcasts without opening the app. In order to sync up any changes, it is necessary to start the app again.

You can have a look in our Idea Exchange to see if someone else has already made a similar suggestion. If there isn't you can give these steps a go and submit your idea. That way other users can also support it. Rest assured the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for it to be implemented.
