Why doesn't spotify let you open non-downloaded playlists when offline anymore?

Why doesn't spotify let you open non-downloaded playlists when offline anymore?

My Question or Issue

It used to be that you could open non-downloaded playlists while offline. The songs you had downloaded would be playable and the rest would be greyed out. I thought this was pretty nifty, since I dumped random new songs into my playlists to discover new stuff, and if I enjoyed the song, I liked it. So when I went offline, I could just load up any playlist and I'd be able to play the songs I had liked, because I had downloaded my liked songs playlist. However, this stopped working. I can no longer load non-downloaded playlists offline, even if I have every single song in that playlist downloaded. The only way to get around this is to have a playlist open while you're going offline, and it will stay loaded as long as you don't close it. I just don't understand the point of getting rid of such a convenient feature. Now I have to wade through like 2500 liked songs just to find something to listen to while I'm offline, instead of being able to look at a specific playlist. Is this a bug or an update no one asked for?

Hi @amadeus_mozarella,

Thanks for reaching out.

According to our testing it should still work. Consider performing a clean reinstall to resolve any damaged cache issues as this seems like the most likely culprit in this case.

Let us know how it goes.
