Why is there no sound on my Moto G phone with or without headphones?

When I click on a song to play on my Moto G the timer begins but I can't hear ANYTHING! When I put headphones I still heard nothing. The sound for Spotify is up so that is not the reason! It isn't my account because my music works on my laptop etc. When I tried to listen to the music on my phone there was no music playing on any other device. The sound on my phone for all other apps works fine! Does anyone know what I should do? Thank you!

Could you try doing a full reinstallation of the app, including removing your local cache/data files.
