Why on earth Spotify limit cache size on Android?

Why on earth Spotify limit cache size on Android?

Hey there!

Why on earth you limit this cache to 3GB? As you may know, my playlist is huge and I listen only my playlist most of time and randomly albums, radio etc. However I keep playing music, but my cache in Micro SD Card at Spotify folder is 3GB for days now.

Why on earth you limit cache size? I purchased 32 GB card to keep my Internet resources down so I can keep more tracks in cache. Okey, I'm on Unlimited data plan, but you know - playing from cache Spotify use less battery. Help me maybe, so here my thread...

There is no problem in Desktop app, here automatical option cache about max. 10GB. However I would like to cache more... So maybe I increase cache to 100GB.

So help me?

If there was no bound to the cache size then the app would eventually fill all storage space. I'm not sure that people would be too happy if they took their phone out to take a photo one day, but ti couldn't save because there wasn't enough space.

Why not just download the playlist to your device?

I can't.

My playlist is 4,938 tracks and more coming and Offline limit is 3,333.

How about splitting your playlist into your top 3000 tracks and others and download your favourites. Or just steam everything - you're always telling people how fantastic your data plan is 🙂

Listening on Windows, Android and Sonos. Tweeting it at @davelicence

Yes, I use my Spotify this way. I listen my playlist. However my 32GB card is very fantastic!

But maybe I can also keep in this card Motorola's awesome 1080p Full HD videos when traveling. 🙂

You still wouldn't have enough room for a high def video disk.
