Widget with no Rounded Corners

Solved!

Widget with no Rounded Corners

Plan: Premium

Country: India

Device: iQOO Z7s

Operating System: Fun Touch OS 14 (Android 14)

My Issue

The widget, not matter of what size, always has sharp squared corners.

Tried uninstalling, re installing, rebooting the device, etc. Nothing fixed it.

Please update the widget to have rounded corners.

Hey @Sumit_Ghosh,

Thank you for the quick and detailed answer!

We understand the situation better now and we appreciate you taking the time to test and share your finding with us. It seems like the appearance of the widget does depend of the particular OS of the device you are using, but Spotify is always working on expanding features to all devices, so we hope you will see rounded corners in the widget on your phone soon. While we're not able to give you an exact timeframe for when that might be, we always recommend keeping the app up-to-date.

The Community is always here for you, should anything else pop up.

Cheers!

Hey @Sumit_Ghosh,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

The Android widget may vary depending on your device, your current OS or if you have a theme applied. So in this case, we'd first recommend changing your phone's theme (or removing it) as they may have different layouts for the widget.

If the issue persists, we'd recommend checking on a different Android device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference. If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.

Lastly, it would also be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device (it could be the same friend or family member), to see if the widget looks squared as well or not.

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.

Hello,

I tried on the widget on Redmi Note 9 pro (MIUI 12 based on Android 12). The corners of the widget on that phone is rounded.

However, Devices belonging to iQOO seem to be sharing the same problem...

For example, another device in my home iQOO Z6 lite running on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 is having the same issue.

Even my friend's flagship device Vivo X90 pro running on Funtouch OS 14 is having the same issue.

I even got an Android update now i.e., Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. Yet the problem still persist.

Also to mention, none of these devices use 3rd party themes. They run on the original themes they come with.
