Wrong song starts to play when selecting a song from the queue during shuffle play

Wrong song starts to play when selecting a song from the queue during shuffle play

Description

Wrong song starts to play when selecting a song from the queue during shuffle play.

Steps to reproduce

1. Find a playlist or go to Your Music/Songs.

2. Press the 'shuffle play' button.

3. Go to the play queue where you can see the tracks in random order as expected.

4. Tap on a song that you would like to play.

5. An other song starts to play (not the one that I selected).

What I expected to happen

The song that I selected should start playing and the content of the play queue should not change.

Strange, It works fine for me with the same spotify version. Starting a playlist with the shuffle play button does weird things though. Selecting a track turns off shuffle and plays the selected track but removes all prior tracks (in original playlist order) from the queue. I can almost see that making sense but it was unexpected.

Have you tried reinstalling spotify?

OK, I found out that one more thing is required to reproduce the problem:

Make sure to set your shuffle setting to 'off' at the music player screen before you press on the shuffle button. If it was set to 'on' than the same thing happens that you mentioned in your post which is good I suppose.
