Yamaha crx-n470d and Spotify Connect - stops working

My Question or Issue

Hi, I've been running my Yamaha crx-n470d for a couple of months and randomly, but regularly, it'll stop working with spotify connect. I can still stream bluetooth, or listen to Net radio and any other function, but spotify connect just won't play.

it'll happen in the middle of a song, and it'll just stop playing. if I press play again, one of two things will happen:

1. nothing, the play button changed from 'play' to 'pause' then instantly back to 'play' again. As if something is pausing the song the moment I try to play it

2. it'll skip to the next track, but still won't play (as if the play buttong is the 'next track' button but it's still paused.)

I have to close spotify, switch off my crx-n470d, ans wait a whiel, then it'll work again.

Any ideas?
