Ace Hardware advertisement freezes spotify

I've had this happen twice to me just now. An advertisement for Ace Hardware comes up, no sound plays during this ad and it stops at 30/30 seconds. Nothing I do gets music playing again except shutting the app down from recent apps and reopening.

Do I have to delete everything to get extreme quality???

So I was using Spotify free for a short while and have now upgraded to premuium. I had around 50 songs that I went to download so I set extreme quality and downloaded the songs. I have now listened to them and there is no difference in sound quailty....
