This is something that I have always wanted and felt would be very useful, especially since I'm trying to cut out the random songs in my 3200 song phone playlist. We are able to star, why not add a big red X to remove the song?
Other than that the android app has been great except for random crashes which arn't a big deal on my galaxys2
Assuming you are using the new beta release then there is a delete option - long press or use the little option arrow then 'more' to see it. It's per track though which means it's not easy to manage a large playlist
I actually upgraded to the preview release and did not notice that, not for a lack of looking. Thanks for the response, however removing a track from the actual playlist on mobile is not really what I was looking for. I was looking for something on the 'now playing' page, since thats what I use with one hand while driving. I will make a post on the wishlist thread.
Seriously. Who DOESN'T weed out songs this way? What an important feature to have been overlooked. Probably take them 10 minutes to program it.
Go to the playlist, hit the three dots ( ... ) in the upper left, then click on edit. You can then remove songs
So I see how to delete songs form the playlist but not from the song while its playing. Is there a way to do it where you don't have to dig through the whole playlist to find the song? Clicking on the three dots and edit and remove tracks just takes you back to the top of the playlist and you then have to scroll down to try and find the song you want to delete.
It does seem like this would be a really obvious feature to offer.....
Please can someone help me. I recently decided to go mobile with spotify but i have had nothing but stress lol. not really knowing if i was doing it right i just picked tunes and stared them for some reason most of the tunes where duplicated serveral times. when i contacted spotify surport they said that if i went on the computer my tunes would be there but they wernt. All i need to know is how do i get rid of the duplicate tunes on my phone and i download a tune or album do i keep the settings on offline mode or online. II did look in the corner for the £ dots on the left of the mobile screene for edit and delete but i didnt see one. When i look for playlist it says offline playlist. Thank you for letting me go on as i would love to be able to sort it out as i love this app
Hi
Just digging around to see if this idea can get some traction now that spotify seem to be putting some dev into their menus! ? It seems very obvious and very useful - being able to delete a song in playlist from the now playing screen rather than having to search for it manually. there is now a "Remove from this playlist" option in the playlist pop up menu so why not on the now playing screen .
have been playing for spotify premium for years now and seems like a very simple solution to cluttered playlists!
thanks
Have you checked to see if that Idea already exists in the Ideas section? If it does then add your Kudos to show your support. If not, create a new idea and if it gets enough Kudos it may well happen!
Done - Seems the idea has been around for a while, so hopefully spotify are listening!
AWESOME!
