ghost copies of modified local tracks

ghost copies of modified local tracks

Hi. I have a playlist with some local files files in it. I have retagged and renamed most of the files. The changes are visible in the desktop client, but on my Android device there are duplicate entries for local tracks that have been modified. It seems that for each local track there is one copy with updated metadata that will play, and one copy that has old metadata and will not play. I've toggled and untoggled the "available offline" option for my playlist, and I've made sure the app is up to date, but nothing happened. Is there a way this can be fixed without manually removing each song or having to recreate my playlist?

You may need to clear the cache (option in the Spotify app settings screen), log out of the app then back in again and hopefully they should be showing correctly

Hmm, I did what you said and somehow the songs are still there. Any other ideas?

You may need to get support to look into it in that case. You can use the contact form linked in my signature to get in contact with them.
