"Spotify Connect" on Galaxy watch

My Question or Issue

I can't find the option to connect to a device via "spotify connect" on the spotify app for the samsung galaxy watch. According to the samsung wearables support site, this should be possible. In "remote" i can only connect via bluetooth, but not "spotify connect". In "standalone" mode, there is no option to be found to connect to a device. Please indicate how to use the "spotify connect" function advertised on the support website for samsung wearables.

Can one expect an answer from Spotify on this board? I have bought a Samsung Galaxy watch based on the premise that it can control devices using "Spotify connect", as indicated on the spotify support website https://support.spotify.com/us/listen_everywhere/smart_watches/samsung-fit-gear-2/. I woud like to have a definitive answer.
