My Question or Issue

 Everytime I tap on the spotify app it just keeps giving me the error message "Spotify keeps stopping." I can't even open the app at this point.

 

I tried clearing the cache, It's a prebuilt app so I can't uninstall it, I tried sigining out of all devices as I can still access my account on my desktop, My phone doesn't currently have an update to download, my family can still log into their spotify accounts (we have a shared plan), basically any solutions I found online haven't worked.

 

I'm all out of ideas at this point, and any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've been having this issue too for the past 2 weeks...
I've tried every fix out there that I've been able to find, none worked, I've had premium for 4 years, but that might just end now, cant even use my app, at all...

Same issue here.  I have a Galaxy S8.


Last two days it crashes and then won't open again.

I've tried:-
 - Updating the phone software

 - Uninstall Spotify and reinstall (worked for a few hours)

 

The only thing I'm wondering is I installed another app. QualityTimeApp which tracks usage of your phone.  Might try stopping that and seeing what happens.

Same here. Restart of device only possible with a hard reset. Than spotify app works for 2 or 3 hours. Just playing from the local cache.

Same thing happened to me today as well. Also Samsung S7 Edge. 

Same trouble here, premium subscriber.  Samsung S7, SM-G930V, Android 7.0, kernel 3.18.31, security patch level 1-Apr-2018.  Soft restart or hard power down/power up doesn't resolve the problem.  Fails the same way whether using cellular data or Wifi.

 

Please help!

having this issue as well, since friday.

Same here since 3 Days now.

it keeps crashing after just a couple of minutes/hours.

Keep deinstalling and reinstalling it just so I can use it again for a couple of hours.

Gets really annoying at this point...

 

Got a Galaxy S8

Works fine on my Mothers Galaxy S6, weirdly.

Today's update fixed the problem for my S7, Android 7
