reverb after update to marshmallow

I just updated to marshmallow and now I notice a large amount of reverb on my music.. all of it.. I consider myself an audiophile.  I make and record music and listen to music with a detailed ear so its kinda driving me crazy..  I have tried other playback apps and it only appears to happen with spotify.   there is no app function that I kand find that has been toggled and the only differnce is the update to marshmallow.  seeing as ATT is the last darn carrier to update the note 5 to marshmallow im hoping ther is an fix that I am over looking... I pay for premium but this is a game changer and I cannot continue to pay if this continues

also happens in google play so it has to be a google thing...
