songs stopping

Solved!

songs stopping

I have spotify premium and for the past couple of weeks my songs will stop playing  I will get maybe one song to play if I am lucky.  This happens in my car, at work, and outside while I am working in the yard. I have installed and reinstalled, cleared chache and forced stopped all things that I have read in other posts.

Hey, @edymaislu @1224167805 @StrangeTrout

I just would like to confirm if you all have followed the instructions to perform a clean reinstallation of the application on your devices. Maybe this issue is being caused because of some cache problem. You can get more information about the clean reinstallation process here

It's also recommendable that you change your password and sign out everywhere in order to make sure the account isn't used by anyone other than yourselves.

  1. Open the password reset in a private/incognito window, and choose a strong password you haven't used before.
  2. Go to your account page and click SIGN OUT EVERYWHERE.

Please, keep me posted!

Kind Regards,

hezorg

Hey, @1224167805
Welcome to Spotify Community and thanks for reaching out here!

I know you've already tried a fast reinstallation, but now, could you try to perform a clean reinstallation of the app on the device you're experiencing this issue? Have in your mind that the clean reinstallation is different than the fast one, so you can take a look at this support article to get help with it.

Keep me posted!

I have this issue too and it is incredibly frustrating.  Then today, when I tried to download a podcast, the app just closed.  Did it too many times to count before I nearly killed my phone.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled, clean uninstalled and then re-reinstalled and now I'm at an impasse.  Considering this problem seems to be a few years old, I'd have thought it would be fixed by now.

Could you give me more information about what is happening?

  • Tell me your device OS + Version (You can find it on the Settings)
  • What's your exactly Spotify version?

If possible, send me some screenshots that could help me to better understand your issue, but be sure you won't share any sensitive information.
Any additional information that you could provide would be very useful.

Keep me in the loop!

Hi Hezog,

It's a Galaxy J4+ version 9

When playing songs it pauses so I have to press play every two/three songs
which is incredibly annoying. When trying to look at 'all episodes' on a
podcast it chucks me out altogether and I have to re-enter and search
again for the podcast. All this started as soon as my free term came to an
end and you began taking payment.

Not a good start. Extremely disappointing.

Same thing happening here.

Samsung Galaxy A40

Android 9

Spotify version is latest: 8.5.47.1006

I've checked the battery saving options to make sure it wasn't an option stopping Spotify.

I've already tried uninstalling + installing again, still happening.

Plays for like 5 minutes then stops.

Several other people posted about this on the Play Store reviews as well.

Could we have an ETA of when this is being fixed?
