spotify free, on HTC WILDFIRE.

spotify free, on HTC WILDFIRE.

I am signed up to spotify  but i dont have premium account, I keep seeing that they now have free "shuffle" option for androids, i have a htc wildfifre and I have downloaded the app from the "play store" but

when i select songs, i cannot get to the "information" of a song to turn on "shuffle" as i get a window telling me I am not a "premium subscriber"

How do i get the free shuffle to work?

any information would be awesome.

yes i have the latest download and play store says theres no updates availlable as its upto date.

There should be a big green shuffle play button at the top of ant track or play list which you tap. Which country are you in?

I live in England.

I have a green bar that says "download" at the top of each playlist, but clicking that brings up the "need premium account" message also.

I have tried uploading from my pc to the android including just local files, but even that says i need premium account.

Hmmm..........what version appears in spotify/settings?

0.6.5.183 version.

the actual message im getting on my mobile is "listen offline with premium, only premium users can download music to listen offline. Upgrade now"

thats when i try and download local content from my pc.

If i click on a track in my playlist on my mobile it says " "cant play track - spotify premium is requiredfor on-demand mobile streamimg, its free to stream on desktop."

Ah. You're running android 2.2 in which case that's the most recent version of spotify which will run. Unfortunately you need a recent release to get the free spotify so it's definitely time for that new phone you've been promising yourself.

Thank you very much for the information,

I appreciate the time you took to reply to my posts.

thank you.

No problem. Sorry I didn't have better news.
