My Question or Issue

A few months ago while on vacas, I had connected my smartphone to my car (WV tiquan) via blutooth, and through it i was listening to spotify. Then all of a sudden it sopped playing music and started giving this weird whistling sound, regardless of if the mobile was connected to the car charger or not.

the car doesn't have any kind of lowjack etc tech that could afik create interferenace. It does have gps/satnav.

Then as suddently as it had started it stopped. We come to the present and it started doing it again this morning.  I've tried going to settings > apps and force stop spotify, disable and re-enable blutooth, shut downed and restarted mobile, and car lol. Nada.

Anyone got an idea of what might be causing this issue? Cheers!

Hey @Nseraf.

Thanks for reaching out on the Community! We'll be glad to help you out ๐Ÿ™‚

I know this sounds obvious, but would you mind restarting your device and performing a clean reinstall by following the steps outlined here?

Out of interest, are you using the App-Connect feature in your car, or are you connecting via USB? Also, are you trying to control the music through the Android Auto app?

Looking forward to hearing back from you! Give us a shout if you have any other questions in the meantime.

Hello,

all those steps were taken, still does it from time to time.

I am using blutooth connection, and controlling the music from mobile or car. No usb is used.

Hey @Nseraf.

Thanks for keeping us posted and trying those steps.

Could you try connecting your device to your car via USB and see if the issue persists? It could be an issue with the Bluetooth connection, which can be eliminated by bypassing it using a USB connection.

Keep us posted!

Car system doesn't have USB port(s), I'm afraid.

Hey @Nseraf.

Thanks for updating us on that.

Could you confirm that you have downloaded Android Auto on your phone and that you are using this when playing Spotify in your car?

Let us know ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm not sure, do you have a google play link?

Hey @Nseraf.

Sure - here you go ๐Ÿ™‚

Keep us posted!

Hey @Nseraf,

In addition to what @Peter said, make sure that you re-pair the Bluetooth connection between your phone and your car.
