issue: car thing stuck on “take a tour” screen

i got my car thing in late march, and i have not been able to get it to work. it connects to my phone and car, but it is stuck on the pink “take a tour” screen. i cant press anything on the screen and cant interact. i’ve reconnected it many times, any ideas?

Sorry to hear that the CarThing isn't working as expected. 

I'd recommend doing a factory rest on the device:

1. Click the Settings button.
2. Find Restart in the list.
3. Choose Factory Reset and press the dial to select.

i would, but the device physically won’t go past that screen. none of the buttons or screen does anything.
