Can I listen to different things on different devices with Premium Duo?

If I’m listening on my tablet and then someone plays something through the Google speakers my tablet stops working even though we pay for a duo

So the way a duo plan works is, the two accounts on the plan get separate login details and hence separate libraries. If you are using one account to play on one device then you cannot play on another using the same account.

You can use the offline mode on one device and then you can play on multiple devices without getting the Spotify Connect prompt. The devices with offline mode enabled won't interrupt your playback if you using the same account on another device. Make sure to read more about the duo plan here.
