How to remove something from Recently played that I've blocked

There's an album that will not get out of my Recently Played list on the home [page of the desktop app, regardless of how mnay playlists, albums or tracks I've played since listening to it briefly because somebody spammed it on a forum that I mod. I've blocked the artist on my IPad, but it never moves from the same position in my recently played list, even though I have not played it recently, I've played loads of other stuff, and I've blocked the artist. How the **bleep** do I get rid of this spam?

Hey @user-removed ,

Thanks for posting in the Community!

Regrettably, at this moment, there's not a feature that allows you to clear your recently played songs from your history. If you continue to listen to the songs you like, the undesired songs should disappear in the near future.

However, there's currently a Live Idea about this. You can add your +VOTE and Subscribe to the thread so that you can receive updates about it.

Have a nice weekend!

But it doesn't that's my point, on the list of tiles Under Recently Played in the Desktop app, it's the 4th or 5t tile always, it never goes away. In fact it moved up again without me playing the album or anything by the artist - and I have only ever played a couple of bars from one song - from 5th to 4 th since yesterday. Cross-referencing to LastFM I played 67 songs yesterday, 19 the day before that. I'm working from home, some days I have music palying all day. I played that one song for a few bars a month ago. Why won't it go away??

Hey @user-removed,

Thanks for getting back to us.

The folks at our tech team are currently looking into this, so make sure to vote for the Ongoing Issue here, if you haven't already. Make sure to provide us with the info we're asking for in the Status update in the comments.

Though we can't set an exact time frame for when this will be fixed, it'll also be useful to Subscribe via the three-dots menu in the top right corner next to the title. We'll be sure to keep you updated with any news on the matter there.

Hope you find this useful. Keep us posted if you have any questions.

Look at the attached - it's screenshots from today.

At 15.18 the album I want to disappear has moved down to 6th place after I played some different things.

An hour later it has dropped off the list. Hooray! - though it was in the Good Afternoon bar - why? I played a bit of one song once a month ago, I've played hundreds of songs since then.

Then I look again at 19.11 - It's back again and everything I've played today is gone.

What is going on? I've unistalled and re-installed - it won't go away. And it's not just the desktop app - it's the same on the web version

It's moved up to position 3 again, and is in my Good Evening tiles. Why is what I've been playing for the last month being dropped while this spam that I never listened to a whole song being shoved into multiple lists. It's some crappy indie ozzie folk band, why is Spotify spamming it into my lists? Why can't you tell me what to do to get rid of it and have what I've actually recently played in a recently played list
