Movie and TV scores from the 90s and older

Recently a large number of original movie and television scores from the mid-1990s and earlier have apparently lost their license with Spotify. This includes works by Zimmer, Daring, Newton Howard, Horner, Portman, Williams, and many others. Since Spotify is incredibly unforthcoming on the subject of licensing (particularly with major entertainment organizations like studios) does anyone know what has happened?

I think Spotify should work out licensing for those titles or provide a visible status update as to why they are no longer available and if the movie studios are planning to make them available again in the future.
