New play list under my name but not created by me.

New play list under my name but not created by me.

Interesting? O yes.

I think all should to ask our Spotify wth?

I found in my account playlist with name same with one created by myself with (2) number at the end.

The difference between originally created playlist by user - different addition time of music. And auto created list is same date of added music.

That means it was some script from outside and that means security is not so perfect in Spotify. Or this is some spam created by Spotify instead hi-res music and other required fixes.

So? This is one another step to go disable submission of this service.

Good luck, my spammers. In next time I will meet with you via other way. I think you will have enough money to pay for.

If anyone else comes by with the same issue, I highly recommend logging into your Spotify account and taking a closer look at the Apps section of it. You'll see a section that contains some variety of apps that have been connected to your Spotify account. This is a slice of mine:

Now, to the rogue playlist creations, it's important to know that some apps that you may have given access to can create and edit playlists on your account. For instance some free downloads offered by artists on Soundcloud are provided through these apps - you get the download if you follow them on Spotify. That same app will usually create a playlist of the artist or label on your account too.

As of this particular case described by the OP - I don't really have an explanation for this particular case. But be warned, apps may sometimes go rogue and if you don't use the app yourself (I use discord and last.fm all the time), then you better remove it. I also advise against trying out websites that you have to log into with your Spotify account.

I can't remember which site it was, but one of those instances did something suspicious enough Spotify went and killed my password and had me create a new one. : )

Outside of apps, Spotify as a service should be safe enough, granted you use strong passwords for it AND the email account your Spotify account was made with.
