My Question or Issue

I've created a number of playlists over the years, but when I go back to the older ones, quite often 50-60% of the songs are unplayable. When looking for the original album that this would have been sourced from, the album is still available, and the song is too, and the name of the album has not altered in any way. So why is the song unplayable?

Can Spotify not bring in a feature to re-link the unplayable songs that are still available with the click of a button, rather than me having to go and delete and then re-add the song?

Hey @trenthetfield

Thanks for searching for the answer you need here!

Could you confirm if you still experience this after logging out from all devices and then logging back in? Occasionally this is necessary to force a sync of info between your device and our account system.

If this persists after logging out, try a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on the device in use. This will remove corrupted data from previous installations that could be causing the issue.

Let us know how you get on! We'll be here in case you need any further help with this.

Hi, tried both, no joy I'm afraid.

Hi @trenthetfield

Thanks for getting back to us.

Would you mind sending over some screenshots where we can take a better look at what you're seeing from your end? You can attach them using the Insert Photos option in the post editor.

It would also be helpful to have the links or URIs to some of these playlists so we can check them.

We'll be on the lookout.

Hi there @trenthetfield,

Thank you for your reply.

Can you confirm if this is your local files? If so - can you re-sync them. If you can find them on Spotify, you can add them from the albums.

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers!
