Spotify does not hide songs from the playlist.

Could you elaborate a bit more on the exact behaviour you see? Namely the following:

• Does the button not respond? 
• Do hidden songs still appear and play? 
• Is this across all your devices or only specific ones?
• Is it only with specific content or all content?
• Screenshots or a video of the behaviour. If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.

Hey Joan, The problem is when listening a playlist; a spotify playlist, you cannot hide songs. I am using desktop and web browser and that option is now gone. I cannot find it in the drop down menu from the 3 dots menu ( . . . ). The only way I can hide it is going through multiple steps of going to artist, ignore artist.

I am having the same issue; the whole point of spotify public playlist is to explore your songs; and within the playlist there are some disgusting songs you just dont want to listen to.
people do not stare at the spotify screen and interact with it. Why does the user need to go through multiple steps to hide a song. bring back the button to hide songs or remove songs. Dumbest design direction by restricting the users option to cater their music taste when the whole new spotify feature is trying to cater towards building your music taste, so frustrating.

On the desktop app, the Hide song feature is only available for select playlists like Discover Weekly and Release Radar. The mobile app supports the feature for all playlists.

There's this idea about making the feature sync across all devices/playlists, which you may find interesting, so feel free to check it out and show your support (if you haven't already).

Is the "hide song" issue happening across all your devices, or just on a specific one? Also, are you using the free or premium version of Spotify, as it might affect certain features?
