Spotify stuck on connecting with Bose Portable Speaker

Spotify stuck on connecting with Bose Portable Speaker

Hello,
I have spotify on iPhone and a Bose Portable Speaker with Alexa. No matter how I try to play music on the speaker (Alexa command, directly from Spotify...) it will not work, while few days ago it was working perfectly.

I tried everything:
- hard reset of the speaker
- change password on every account involved
- set google dns on the phone directly or from the router
- streaming from other devices and still not working

other spotify alternatives work fine, do you have any idea that can help?

Hi there @francosa13,

 

Thanks for reaching out. So all of your devices cannot connect to the Bose speaker and play from it, is that correct? Does it appear in the Connect list or not? What is the exact behaviour? Also consider performing a clean reinstall on your devices, removing the Spotify Alexa connection, reinstalling the Alexa app and then establishing the connectiong again. That can help fix the issue.

Hi Joan,

 

thank you for your help. Yes all the devices are unable to connect to the speaker. Yes, it appears in the Connect list and when I click to connect it will remain in the Connecting state (screen attached)

 I have done a clean reinstall of all the app (Spotify, Alexa and Bose) making sure to remove account access before, but nothing works.

Thanks for the response. Have you checked if the issue happens across multiple networks? Try with different Wi-Fi or by creating a hotspot with your phone and connecting all devices to that.

Hi @Joan,

 

yes, I tried from the hotspot, restarting the router, giving the google dns. I am currently being supported by spotify escalation team. I will give an update as soon as we troubleshoot.
