So, Spotify does not make any checks or modifications to volume levels?

That would explain why the sound is always up and down while I am listening.  Thank you for advising me of that.

Well, who ever the artist was on that song, I am sure it was not the Bee Gee's.  The quality was terrible and the song just stopped after about a minute.  I have noted just now that the song title has "edited version" in the title.

Is there a setting that I can use to avoid listening to edited versions of songs?

I believe there's no such option, so you'll just have to make sure that you choose your preferred version of a song.
