Why won't you just disable injected ads for premium members?

Solved!

Why won't you just disable injected ads for premium members?

Right now, content creators of podcasts have the option to inject ads. These ads will play, even if you're a premium member. Spotify promises no ads for premium members and claims that these ads are from the content creators not Spotify. While that might be the case, Spotify provides content creators a feature to setup these kind of ads. So it would be super easy to disable these "clips" from playing, when youre a premium member.

Premium members have a contract with YOU and not the creators. Our money goes to YOU, not the creators. YOU promised NO ADS for Premium. Still, creators can inject adds and YOURE APPLICATION plays them. YOU provide the code to inject ads, so DISABLE it for premium members...

Let me do the work for you:

if(user.type != premiumUser)

{

 Play incejted ads...

} else {

 DONT PLAY ADS...

}

This is really not hard to implement. The rights of your paying customers should be priority, not the monetization of ads for content creators. I really hope this will be done, soon!

I understand it can be frustrating to hear ads in podcasts, even as a premium member of Spotify. However, it's important to remember that content creators have the right to insert these ads into their own podcasts, and Spotify has no control over the content they choose to include.

Despite this, Spotify is constantly working to minimize the frequency of ads that premium members hear. However, it's still possible that you may come across ads in some podcasts, especially those hosted on platforms external to Spotify.

The injected ads feature is provided by Spotify to allow content creators to monetize their podcasts, and disabling it for premium members may harm the creators. Nonetheless, Spotify is always working to improve the user experience, and your feedback is important for us to continue making improvements to our service.

I hope this helps clarify your doubts! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Best regards and have a great Wednesday!

Spotify is working on a way to address this issue in the future. They are currently working on a system where they can identify whether a listener is a premium member or not, and then disable the ads accordingly. This would be done automatically, and would help protect the rights of premium members while also allowing content creators to monetize their work. It is unclear when this new system will be put in place, but it is something that Spotify is actively working on.

In the meantime, if you are a premium member and you encounter ads in a podcast that is available on Spotify, you can reach out to the content creator directly and let them know about your experience. Content creators may not be aware that their ads are playing for premium members and this could be an opportunity for them to learn about the issue and make any necessary changes to their setup.
