Hi,
recently a lot of the music on Spotify has become greyed out - however, it is only my Spotify, my friends Spotify (in same country - Australia) doesn't have these songs greyed out for them. Just wondering what to do to fix that?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hey @sweven,
Thanks for sharing these songs!
I am able to play all of them without issues. I noticed that they're all explicit though, so could you check if Explicit content is enabled in the desktop app's Settings?
If you're part of a Family plan, the plan owner has control over the explicit content filter for all members, so reach out to them and ask them to toggle it off for you on their account page.
More info on explicit content here.
Let us know how it goes. Cheers!
Hey @sweven,
Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.
In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. Would you mind checking if this is happening if you open your account on a different device from the one you're using? It'll help us a lot if you send us the make/model, and OS of the affected device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running.
On another note, would you mind sharing the URL of a couple of the songs you noticed are grayed out? You can do it by following the steps in this article.
Meanwhile, we suggest you log out and log in twice in a row onto your Spotify account. This could sound a little bit odd, but this way the system will force a resync of your account in general.
Keep us in the loop!
