"Included in Premium" audiobooks

"Included in Premium" audiobooks

How do I find "included in Premium" audiobooks by searching rather than looking at books individually only to find they are not included?

I have the same question!

Hey folks,

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community!

You can find the free audiobooks by heading to Search > Browse all > Audiobooks, and scrolling down to find the free audiobooks section. To unlock a free audiobook, select the GET button on the desktop app and the Play button on the mobile app.

Keep in mind that if an audiobook is included in the plan, it has the "Included in Premium" call out above its title. On the other hand, if the audiobook isn't included, you'll see a padlock there instead.

More info in this article.

Hope this helps. If you have any questions or need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.

I don’t see a “free audiobooks” section; iOS app.

Hey @henry_g!

Thanks for the question.

Free Audiobooks are supported only for certain plan. Those are:

  • Premium Individual (Student offer not included)
  • Premium Duo (manager only)
  • Premium Family (manager only)

At this time, the price point the plans not included doesn’t allow for multiple audiobook allocations. We’ll be exploring ways for Family and Duo users to have more flexibility from their audiobooks access in the future. You can leave any questions about this here.

Hope this clears things up!

Sorry, but totally unhelpful. Corporate gobbledegook.

I have the same question.

I have an individual Premium account, I am based in the UK.

If I go to Search > Browse all > Audiobooks and scroll down there is no section called "free audiobooks". I am on the desktop app.

If I go to 'Home' and look at "Audiobooks for you" I also cannot see a single one marked as "free".

Actually I can't find any!

Do they exist?

totally agree poor service

I found the answer. It was a bug with the Mac desktop app not updating properly. I had to completely remove it then re-install and then they audiobooks showed up.

Very misleading and not very fair.  This should be available to all members in the plan.  My husband is the manager of our account and not listen to audiobooks - only music.  I, on the otherhand, prefer listening to audiobooks but cannot access any other than free libravox recordings.

I’ve found the whole process of finding a free audiobook terrible. I’m a premium subscriber but every book is locked (I must have checked about 100 different books!)

Have been on chat with customer service for 40 mins with no success.

15 hours free audiobooks but impossible to find a book which isn’t locked - how useful!

I give-up, am not wasting any more time with Spotify

After trying to figure out why the audiobooks were locked behind a paywall, I discovered my friend could get it, and his has premium, but any book I found of interest was locked, turns out it's only available to individuals and my partner is the account manager,

Honest feedback, but the whole service is a little bit underwhelming.

I thought I was a premium member, but no I'm a premium family member, it's too confusing, I'm more annoyed having wasted time with it.

I don't want to waste time purchasing audiobooks when there's a possibility that they could become unlocked in the future.

I’ve just spent 30 mins explaining my issues to customer service installing, reinstalling, screenshotting etc only to be told I won’t get audiobooks because my subscription was purchased with a gift card - don’t see what that should make a difference I’ve been a premium member for over 5 years

There is no option to select 'free audiobooks'

I wanted to listen to a Sue Graton audiobook and each chapter is only 5 minutes long. I do have a premium account. How do I access the entire book?
