"New releases" section removed from certain genres

My Question or Issue

Why has the "New releases" section been removed from some genres but not others? When I contacted support, the agent told me that "Testing out features is part of our aim to make Spotify better overall, but we're sorry this means you can't use the app like you could before. We can't say if or when any specific features will be back." 

It does not make sense to me why they would keep/remove the section in some genres and not others. Part of the thing that the section provided was not only the ability to see when specific artists I enjoyed released something new, but to explore and find new artists within the genre. Now I cannot do so, or at least with the same level of convenience. 

If it was only for a certain amount of time I would not be too bothered by it, as I could ultimately catch up later on. However, from what it seems, I will not be able to see any new releases for my most played genre until Spotify decides to add it back, if they do so at all.

Can you let us know exactly which genres you're referring to? It would be great if you also add a screenshot of how things look on your end.

We checked multiple genres and they all appear to have New Releases.

I realise this is an old post, but I have noticed this issue and noticed that the OP never replied to you. There is no 'New Releases' section in the Metal genre.
