I know I've set the cache size on a previous version of spotify on the mac, and this article confirms the feature exists:

However, I can no longer find the option to change the cache size in the preferences in OS X on the latest version of Spotify (1.0.2.6). Where did it go?

The ability to change the size and location of the cache will be coming back in a future update.
