Better to keep local file or substitute with spotify link?

Better to keep local file or substitute with spotify link?

Hi all,

I work a lot, if not only, with playlists. I have started mixing local files with files found on the spotify's library. Considering that:

1) many songs did not get recognized based on the names e.g. "(original mix)" vs " - original mix"

2) the advantages of having songs from the spotify library are great e.g. info about the album, the artisti etc.,

3) I want to have as many playlists offline as possible, both on my computer and iphone (I travel a lot)

my question is:

Is it worth it to find the spotify's library song correspondent to each of my local files? Are the files from the spotify library bigger or smaller than my local files (assuming same bitrate-size), hence leading to bigger or smaller offline playlists?

Thanks for your precious support guys! 😃

Best,

Jack

The Spotify files might be a little bit smaller due to the encoding of the file which should help save storage space when saving playlists for offline use.
