Firstly the problem started with the spotify app not detecting that I was online, even though everything else on my laptop worked perfectly fine. I did some searching around and tried changing the proxies, deleting caches, and finally reinstalling the spotify app as suggested on https://support.spotify.com/sk/article/reinstallation-of-spotify/.
I managed to redownload the app but have been unable to login with my username/email address or through facebook. It just goes a little darker as if loading, but it never loads (see image)
unable to login on the app
I then tried installing the app from the web player link but it immediately showed this page (see image). Spotify does not even load web player or any page when on safari (currently using chrome)
trying to download app from web player link
Tried the reinstall spotify app instructions again including clearing caches and spotify application support folder, then tried downloading again and this came up.
trying to download app from 'reinstall spotify app instructions'

Please help me with this as it is very frustrating to not be able to play music from my laptop
same thing is happening for me and it now is saying my username isnt correct because it normally has a "." in it and it now telling me no? but still not allowing me to log in! i am currently playing music through clicking a spotify track on my facebook and playing through web player- im so frustrated!
I’m having the same problem. I’m in a Mac OSX 10.11.
Now that you mentioned it, it started with the App not recognizing I was online, too.
None of the Spotify.com page load. Nor in Safari, nor in Chrome, nor Firefox.
I deleted cache, cookies, I unisnstalled the app, I reinstalled it (an ancient version, since I can’t download the last one because Spotify.com pages are not loading). I changed the firewall options. Nothing.
Internet works ok, all other apps seem to work ok, too.
I don’t understand the problem. I don’t know that to do. Please, someone help us.
Same issue here, cannot login with my username/password or with facebook authentication. This needs a fix asap
Hello @danamir. Just to confirm: could you please tell me if you're having trouble using the web player too?
I'm having part of the same problem. Started with Spotify not recognizing that I was online, so I tried changing the proxy and when that didn't work I deleted the cache to do a clean reinstall and when I downloaded it I got the same login screen as jolucykate, where it gets darker but doesn't actually log me in.
I did another clean reinstall and it's the same as before. I'm not, however, experiencing any problems when I go to https://spotify.com/download . I can also use Spotify browser.
