Fullscreen visualization

Hi,

Am I the only one not being able to have Spotify always open in fullscreen?

I'm on Mac OS X 10.9.2 running Spotify…

… and the window preferences are going a bit crazy between relaunches of the desktop app.

The most obvious and replicable bug is that I cannot stabilize the app to open in OSX fullscreen:

1. open Spotify

2. choose fullscreen option, watch window maximize nicely to fullscreen

3. ??? profit

4. quit and reopen Spotify: the fullscreen setting is gone

More precisely, the window seems to resize by default to something like 600 * 460 (cannot tell exactly because of the drop shadows on the border), bottom-left of screen.

Other window settings are not saved properly either: for instance, manually maximizing the window to screen dimensions is only half-saved (only the vertical setting is preserved, the horizontal one reverts to the above default width) between two launches.

Unrelated GUI suggestion

Shouldn't that search form be white-on-black and not black-on-white, given the rest of the new GUI ?

Have you tried re-downloading and installing Spotify from their website?

This happens to me too, but will most likely be fixed in a future update. This doesnt seem like too big of a problem however...

No, I did not do this, given that Spotify is supposed to auto-update. I also hope that the next auto-update will solve the issue.

It's as big a problem as losing software preferences can be: small, but annoying.

In my PC with Windows 7 this Full Screen Option es absent. I have other PC with the same situation. I have the last black version but not works. In the Web Player this is not a problem, but in the PC version not works

Spotify seems to know that this bug (Full Screen) exits but nothing to resolve this, particulary in the PC Version.

Solution for linux: move or delete ~/.config/spotify/window_position.prefs
