On a Mac mini M2 with a Samsung M8 monitor, playing Spotify starts on TV

New Mac mini, installed Spotify App. When I play music, it first tries to play to the Mac's speaker, which is awful. When I redirect sound to the monitor, it launches that Monitor's Spotify App, which means that I am no longer to easily interact with my desktop.

Thanks for reaching out. How are you trying to change the audio source? If you're doing this from the Connect menu, then that will change from which Spotify app the playback is originating, while still allowing you to control it from other devices. If you try to change the audio output from the settings of the Mac itself, what happens then? Send us some screenshots or better yet a video of this behaviour and we'd be happy to take a look.
