My Question or Issue

Hello! With the recent update to MacOS Catalina, the screensaver now pauses Spotify. I don't remember this happening before the update. Perhaps I'm missing a stupid quick fix here. I appreciate any questions or ideas you have. Thank you!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

The only info I have about MacOS Catalina is: version 10.15.
For Spotify, 1.1.17.543.geb9254e9.

And update : even after today's Spotify update, the problem persists:

Hey @ggundlachsj,

Could you check the Power Saver in System Preferences?

Try to enable the Screen Saver manually while Spotify is playing.

Hi 

I have the same problem. However I am using Sonoma on Apple Silicon (M1). When I use my old intel its not happening.

I think its not the screensaver but the Lock Screen which starts early than the screensaver in my settings.

The problem is, it stops all stream, even if I haven't started them on my MacBook. If it's just in the same network with Spotify App running ist stops the stream on my mobile.

I haven't seen any settings I can change for the Lock Screen behavior.

Any suggestions?
