My Spotify (premium) has been constantly crashing for the past two months. I use the desktop client on my MacBook Pro OS X 10.8.5.
At first it happened whenever I tried to add more than one song at a time to a playlist; Spotify would completely shut down, the icon would disappear from the dock altogether, and I would get no error message.
Now it crashes for no apparent reason, often within a few seconds of starting it up. Still I get no error message. In fact, I am now (as of an hour ago) unable to open Spotify at all.
Can anybody help? I'll be cancelling my subscription this week if I can't get it working.
Many thanks,
Siobhan
Edited to add: I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice in the past two weeks, to no avail.

Apologies for the delay, I've been away.
Yes Peter, that did work - thanks so much. Unfortunately I'm having to go through these steps on a weekly basis; is there a more permanent solution? It's getting quite boring!
Thanks,
Siobhan

It happens to me the instant I drag and drop a track into a playlist.
It just crashes and leaves me to open it again.
Yep, me too.
@RejectSuperstar and @siobhanloise What operating sytem are you using and in which view are you dragging and dropping the tracks?
This issue is happening with me too. It has happened at last 10 times when I try to drag musics to one of my playlists.
I was searching tracks and artists, and inside an artist page after select the tracks that I want add and dragging them to the playlist, my mouse cursor change to loading icon and after this the spotify app don't respond anymore. Then I have to force close and reopen.
Also has a process that always is 'not responding':
I hope this issue is resolved soon, i'm just started to use spotify and it's awesome.
The OSX crash when adding to playlists is a known issue for some folk Some also report this happening when adding tracks from a right click.

Hi Jwylot,
I'm using OS X version 10.8.5. Not sure what the Spotify view would be called, but just regular desktop screen.
Thought this would be fixed with the update but it's still happening. Driving me insane!!!
