Hi,
I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019) MacOS Monterey and today my Spotify stopped connecting and playing music on my Bose Portable Home Speaker and SoundTouch 300.
In the desktop app it just shows "Connecting"(screenshot attached) both for Portable Home Speaker and Soundtouch 300. I tried resetting my devices and did a restart for my laptop. I also uninstalled and installed my Spotify mac app.
I tried playing music via wifi from my phone to speakers, nothing.
I have a premium plan.
Hey @mihkelraag,
Thanks for the post.
Can you try connecting your devices to another network like a mobile Hotspot and try playing music via Spotify Connect. This way you can check if the issue is network related at all, since you can't stream music from both your computer and laptop.
Keep us posted on how you get on.
Hi @mihkelraag,

Hello I am in a similar situation but I am using an Iphone.
I tried resetting the bose device, removing spotify from the configuration e testing on another network but nothing work.
Any help?
Thank you
Hey there @francosa13,
Thanks for getting in touch about this.
We suggest that you check if the firmware of your speaker has any pending updates.
On another note, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app on your iPhone to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.
Let us know how it goes.
Hi @Eni,
thank you for your help, I tried both your suggestions but it doesn't seem working. With other music services it work fine, apparently it's something about spotify.
Hello - I am having the exact same problem. I have Smart Speaker 300 and Smart Soundbar 600, as well as a portable home smart home speaker. On the spotify app, the smart speaker and sounbar are showing, the portable speaker has disappeared and will not return.
I have tried a clean install of the spotify app on ios (though the speaker doesn't show on spotify desktop either). I have revoked and allowed Spotify app access in my bose account. When I try and play spotify via the Bose Music app, the speaker just flashes white lights. I have restarted my iphone and the portable speaker. I have a mesh system so the wifi signal is strong.
This keeps happening every few weeks and magically the portable speaker appears to Spotify app days later, its really agrevating. Any suggestions?
Hey @dbear,
Thanks for posting in the Community.
At this stage we won't be able to offer further troubleshooting advice, as we think the issue may be related to the playback device. Could you reach out to Bose customer support and see what they have to offer?
Let us know how that went,
Cheers!
