Why don't my queue and playlist sort match?

Why don't my queue and playlist sort match?

I have my playlist sorted by song length. Shuffle is off. The Mac desktop app is updated to the newest version. When I look at my queue, the songs only partially match the playlist order. Some songs are skipped and others are out of order. You can tell that it's somewhat matching the requested order, but not exactly. Why doesn't my queue match my playlist exactly? It's like Spotify doesn't want to play certain songs if I don't manually make it play them. I can send pics to show the difference.

This is my playlist vs my queue. Why is it skipping Something Beautiful, Food Chain, and Time for Me To Fly?

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community. 

 

We tested this on our end, but couldn't replicate it. 

 

In this case, it's worth logging out and then logging back in to your account twice in a row to see if that makes the difference. This will trigger a sync between your account and device. 

 

If this doesn't do the trick, we suggest that you perform a clean reinstall of the app by following these specific steps.

Was trying to start a playlist earlier and wanted to jump around and I caught this behavior.

the queue on the right should match the playlist from the selected track, but it only matches when I select the first song. If I select other songs, the order is completely wrong.
