my blue tooth speaker is connected to my mac,

my blue tooth speaker is connected to my mac,

But all of a sudden its stopped working and now i can only listen to spotify through my mac

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome. 

 

In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. Is your speaker working as it should when you use other apps? If you're not sure, it'd be awesome if you could check. Just to confirm, are you using the desktop app or the web player? If you're using the desktop app, we'd recommend you run a clean reinstall to see if you notice any difference. You can check out the steps for it here.


On another note, can you give us more details about your speaker, e.g., the make/model and OS? If it's a smart speaker (or a speaker that supports Connect), can you check if this is happening when using Spotify Connect? Is this just happening when using the Bluetooth option?


Lastly, would you mind sending us the make/model and OS of your Mac, along with the Spotify version you're running there? Did you notice if this started to happen after some specific event, such as an OS update?
