My Question or Issue
I'm using Spotify version 1.2.26.1187.g36b715a1 on Windows 11 Pro (the app provided from the Microsoft Store).
I'm finding that when I wake my PC from Sleep mode, the Spotify Home page doesn't load...it just shows grey boxes with the loading animation. If I close the app and re-launch it, then the Home page loads just fine. Even though the Home page doesn't load, Spotify will continue to play music no problem.
The app is indeed on-line (and my PC is connected to the internet; web sites are loading no problem). Any ideas? I've only run into this issue starting in the past few weeks, perhaps a bug?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Interesting - does this mean that Spotify can fix it or is this something that we can / have to fix ourselves? IF so, does anyone know how?
I'm not sure if this is it, at least not for me.
The bug is happening in Spotify for me at the moment and it isn't in efficiency mode. There's no leaf or pause symbol next to any of the entries in task manager. Plus people are having the same issue on Macs.
At this point, I'm considering dumping Spotify all together and trying Youtube Music or something instead.
Hey again folks,
Thank you to everyone that's posted in this thread and for the info added.
We can confirm that the teams are looking into this at the moment. As soon as we have more info, we'll let you know.
Should you need help with anything else in the meantime, the Community's here for you 🙂
Exactly the same thing happens to be in both Linux (Arch Linux if it's important) and Windows 11 Pro (I use them in dual boot setup and switch often). Machine goes to sleep, wakes up and boom, Spotify interface doesn't loading again. I have this problem for at least half a year and it's extremely annoying, I cannot believe it's still not fixed.
Linux version: Spotify version 1.2.31.1205.g4d59ad7c
Windows should be the same, update it every week or so.
Hey folks,
Thanks for all your replies and for keeping us in the loop!
Just to confirm, are you currently seeing this behavior on your devices? If yes, please send us the info mentioned by @Maria here. We'll forward the info to the relevant team.
We'll be on the lookout!
Hello, I can confirm I'm on Spotify for Windows (64 bit) 1.2.33.1042.g26c92729 now. I'm happy to say this issue appears to be resolved at last 🙂 It looks like this version was installed on April 2, 2024 for me and the issue has not recurred at all.
Thanks!

@vasil IM on web player no mobile man. is Spotify like this world wide right now?
Hey @headbanger5678-,
Thanks for reaching out!
Have you tried opening Spotify in an incognito window to see if it works there? In case you're using any browser extensions, try disabling them temporarily as well.
It's also worth checking if switching to a different Wi-Fi network does the trick. You can ask a friend or a relative to create a mobile hotspot for you to connect to. If possible, try using another browser to see if everything looks good there.
Cheers 🤘
