Can i see my friend's activity

Can i see my friend's activity

Though 'Share my listening activity on Spotify ' is open I can't see my friends' activity in my Desktop. What can i do about that?

Hi @barnaersoy

 

You may need to enable the Friend Activity panel if it is not already. You can find this toggle under the Spotify window context menu, View > Friend Activity.

In order to see listening activity from any user, they also need to have the 'Share my listening activity on Spotify' toggle turned on as well. I believe this feature is turned off by default.

I have the same issue as @barnaersoy Spotify no longer seems to look like the screenshot you presented. Do you have any other solutions?

Are you using the Web Player or the desktop app? Keep in mind that this isn't possible in the Web Player and there is no such option in Settings there. If you're using the desktop app, you can check if you have Share my listening activity on Spotify on by clicking on your profile icon, then on Settings and then scrolling to Social.

 

Can you also double-check that everything below is true:

  • You must be following the friend whose activity you want to see.
  • The friend must have enabled the setting to publish their activity and have Share my listening activity on Spotify - toggled on as well.
  • The friend must have played more than 30 seconds of a track on iOS, Android or Desktop in the last 7 days.
  • This can’t be in a Private Session.
  • Also you should both have restarted the app at some point recently.

I dont have the desktop app, its just the web player. Thank you for
clearing that up!
