My Question or Issue

I use spotify exclusively via the web player during work (9-5 m-f), as the sound is louder through chrome. I use the mini player for the convenience and typically make it as small as possible before extending it outwards to fit on my screen for the day, and it will normally resize to look like this:

You know the normal way.

For the last week or 2, it's been doing this when I try to get to the tiny player:

It won't let me make it smaller than this and it will stay like this for 6ish hours of my day, which is almost my entire shift.

When I try to make it bigger it still does the same cut off except it makes it worse too:

and if I make it just a tiny bit bigger to show the controls at the bottom, it immediately switches to this:

I've made sure chrome is updated and deleted my spotify web data and it won't fix it.

The weirdest thing is that it will actually work after I've had it open for a few hours, but that's just rubbing salt in the wound.

I don't know what's going on with it but yeah.

Hi there @jessowo,

Thanks for reaching out!

I wasn't able to reproduce this on my end, so it'd be really helpful if you can try some troubleshooting steps to see if they solve the issue. Can you try opening the Web Player in an incognito window and then the mini player afterwards? It's also worth trying this out in a different browser, as well as clearing cache and flushing DNS.

I know you mentioned using the Web Player exclusively when working, but would you mind testing if this happens in the desktop app as well? If you have another desktop device available, it'd also be great if you can check if you experience the same issue there.

Keep us posted.

Hi Dessi,

I installed the windows app and it seems to work fine, so I'll use that going forward.

It did keep doing it on both incognito and microsoft edge tho.

Thanks for the help!
