Hey there,

How does the "followers" system work on Spotify and why might I not have any?

I discovered Spotify pretty early on and have been a huge fan and regular user ever since. However, I don't know if I've misunderstood how to use the features or anything but I have TONS of playlists (a few hundred at least) but nobody is following any of them. Now I'm not bothered about this but I'm just curious as to why,

Hey @Tri5tan, thanks for posting!

If you are not promoting your playlists anywhere, the only way others can find them is through searching for it, but only the most popular playlists which match the search terms will appear. The other way is through your profile page. So really no matter how many playlists you have, people are unlikely to find them by chance.

If you would like to increase your playlist followers, try posting on the Playlist Exchange or promoting your playlists on Facebook!
