Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out!

As the Gapless setting is not available in the desktop app's settings, does it toggle itself off in your mobile device after being toggled on? If this is so, does it occur after a specific action or does it toggle itself off all the time, regardless of activity?

As a starting troubleshooting step you can try removing your desktop & mobile app's cached data.
If this doesn't do the trick, see if going for a complete clean reinstall of the app would make a difference.

Hope this helps! We'll be on the lookout for your reply 🙂

I was experimenting with audio quality and all the settings and noticed the "gapless playback" on my android device keeps turning itself OFF automatically and i need to turn it back ON every time i reopen the app.
Once i turn it ON it stays ON till the apps open but once i close the app (from recent apps) and reopen it then the settings turns itself off.
Idk if this issue is specific to the current version of spotify or my device.
I noticed this feature doesn't even exist in windows app so im confused if this is a me problem or app problem.
I also performed a reinstall as well if thats what you were gonna suggest.

Thanks for the info, @kylepereira03!

Our tech folks will investigate further, however, we don't have a specific timeline for a fix. In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates 👍

Tip: Gapless playback is built-in in the desktop app and is activated by default.

Cheers!
